It uses SDL to make it multi-platformed. The functionality allows it to load and zoom on PNG images, and it's main feature: zooming on FULLY-COLORIZED Mandelbrot Set images. This produces amazing art, and is far superior to almost every fractal program out there because the colorization algorithm uses the full spectrum of color properly instead of just using shades of the same hue.
